Extreme Home Makeover!!

As I'm sure many of you know by now, Extreme Home Makeover has come to Suffield! It is very exciting and despite Kevin's attempts to convince me that it would be just as exciting to drive by the house on Monday when it was completed and the crew was gone, I felt I had to see the action while it was here. After all it is not everyday that t.v. comes to town! I must say this was a very well run experience, we all piled on a bus (Kate and the kids came with us) and we got shipped over to the work site, stayed about five minutes, and got shipped back. Kevin was an integral part of this operation as we could not have maneuvered five young children through all the chaos without the extra hands. Everybody was very well behaved and ice cream was earned by all (especially Kevin!) The pictures are not great, as I could not see what I was taking and just kind of held my camera in the air and hoped for the best, you get the idea though.

Ice cream after the big trip. I can't wait for Henry to use a spoon like Cole!

And after eating he could not find a napkin, so used his hair, lovely!

Go Meat!

I figured I would head off all confusion and explain the caption above that Kevin so kindly added after I posted by pictures. This saying comes from the Hillshire Farms commercial in which they yell "go meat" at some point. I'm not really sure if arms in the air are involved, but that is what Henry does every time we yell "Go Meat!" It is very funny and he does it quite often no matter what his mood or what activity he is doing.

Vermont

A couple weekends ago we took a trip to Vermont with the Castor family. Kevin and Bryan rode their bikes and Kate and I had the pleasure of driving with all five boys!! (fun stuff!). Overall the trip went very well, Reed won the award for best traveler and Henry and Cole fought for the title "worst traveler." Henry did better than expected in a hotel room, although the rooms were adjoining so the kids had plenty of room to run. We were able to swim at the hotel and then the next day we took the kids to an aquarium and walked around Burlington. We had a great little getaway and can't wait to do it again, although next time I think Kate and I will take the bikes and the men can drive the kids! Here are all the "big" boys in a treasure chest in the aquarium.
Cole taking a snooze on our couch.

Henry is getting some oral hygiene advice from Cole, or maybe he's trying to figure out why Cole has a pink toothbrush.

Chillin' in the hot tub.

Henry loved the pool and was only mad that he could not swim on his own.

A Visit to the Ham!

Last weekend was my five year college reunion, but we were not able to attend as we had a wedding that same day. We did however, manage to make some time on Sunday afternoon to take a drive to Framingham to visit my girlfriends for an impromptu cookout at my friend Laura's house (actually her parent's house, she just moved to Chicago!). Henry had a blast with Laura's parents, they don't have any grandchildren yet, but they will certainly make great grandparents when they come! We were also able to meet Mary Kelley, my friend Anne-Marie's new baby, who is absolutely adorable. It was great to see everybody and can't wait for the next get together!

I think Henry was laughing at Mary Kelley getting her diaper changed.

There were two screen doors on the porch that I didn't think would last during Henry's visit. He went in and out and almost through them, the entire day!

Mary Kelley, isn't she beautiful!! I had so much fun buying her pink dresses!!

Henry and Meghann, I guess this is the only friend he posed with. He was much too busy playing with Grandpa Rick and Grandma Linda!
