Ice Cream and a Boo Boo

In an effort to enjoy the beautiful weather we decided to take Henry out for ice cream. To no surprise, he thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Following the trip for ice cream we came back home where Henry, while walking (yes he is walking about 85% of the time and falling all the time), fell into the couch. Now one would not expect much a mark from a couch but it has metal buttons on the edge which is exactly where he landed. He recovered nicely and actually enjoyed the ice we put on the injury. Both boys enjoying Kev's sundae!

Henry being told "no" while trying to eat the rocks.

Henry had to have a bag of ice to hold in order for us to keep the bag on the injury.

The injury, this was after some ice, it still looks nasty but hopefully won't last long.

Henry meets Reed

Yesterday Henry and I went to Kate's for Henry to meet Reed. He was honestly way more excited to see Cole (there was a lot of screeching and hugging when they saw each other), Auntie and the toys. After a while he became more interested in the baby and was even able to hold him. He did great until Cole told him to hit the baby, and Henry complied (well he tried anyway!) Henry only get jealous once when I held the baby and I think in time he will make a great big brother!
A little unsure of Reed.

Getting the hang of things.

Reed Allan Castor Arrives!!!

My sister Kate had her fourth boy today, Reed Allan Castor. He was born at 1:17 p.m. and weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 20 inches long. He is beautiful and a welcome addition to the family. Kevin and I were lucky enough to go visit Reed and Kate tonight so I though I would share some pics.

So tiny!!
Congrats!!!

Henry Turns 1!!!

On April 1st Henry turned ONE!!! It was very exciting for us to celebrate his birthday, so naturally we had a party for him. We had a lot fun and we were all exhausted by the end of the evening. Henry has been enjoying all of the great gifts he received from our family and friends. Here are a lot of pictures from the day because I couldn't choose which ones to post. Thanks to everyone for a great day!! Before all the excitement began.
Henry got a train from Grandma and Grandpa, although he had seen it several times at their house before his party, he seemed genuinly surprised that it was his.

Now that is dedication. I baked the cake and Kevin spent a lot of time decorating it, and it was well worth it, he did a great job!

Henry did not quite understand how to blow out the candle.

If you look closely you can see one of his big front teeth, he certainly enjoyed his cake, no surprise there!

Poor Cole. Cole hates a mess and he was horrified when I asked him to stand next to Henry for a picture. He was a good sport and posed for a picture all the while trying not to let "Nenny's mess" get him.

Present time!! I think Henry opened one present, but he loved them all, especially the ones that were already put together.

In a sea of toys.

We were able to get Bubba on web cam so he could enjoy the chaos, here's Grammy showing him all of Henry's gifts.

Henry got a wagon from Aunt Kerri that thankfully has buckles because he does not mind jumping out!

I think Cole was explaining to Henry that he needs to sit in the wagon.

A Birthday and a Bubble Bath

As many of you know, today was Henry's first birthday. To help him celebrate I decided to take the day off from work and have a fun day with him. Henry and I along with his cousins went to Kid City and then out for lunch and ice cream. We had a really fun day and I think Henry enjoyed his birthday almost as much as I did. I don't have pictures from ice cream because I had my hands full, but you can check out Kate's blog to see Henry enjoy his very first Cone Head!! These pictures are a little backwards, but you get the point.

Henry passed out after a long morning of playing hard.

Somebody loved the mirrors!!

There was a room dedicated to smaller children which was nice for Henry, here he is with Cole leaving from a tunnel.

And here he is in the tunnel, this child has no fear!
BATH TIME!!!!
After a long nap and dinner it was time for a bath. Henry usually takes showers in the morning but with a combination of crawling on dirty floors and a runny nose, we decided a bath was necessary. As a special treat we turned it into a bubble bath, which I think Kevin and I had more fun with than Henry.

Checking the temperature before the big rinse off.
