Camping

This past weekend we went camping with some friends of ours, Caren and Joey. It was rainy on Friday night so we decided to only camp on Saturday. The weather was great on Saturday during the day and the rain held out until about midnight, which was enough time for us to have dinner and hang out by the fire. The camp site was certainly interesting and depending on which direction you were looking it did have some nice views. Henry seemed to enjoy watching the fire and all of the new surroundings. He slept great in the tent and made it until about 5:30 a.m. At this point it was raining pretty steady and he was getting hungry. Being the picky eater that he is, he will only drink his bottles if they are warmed. So, Kevin, being the great dad he is, stood over the fire with an umbrella during a down pour so we could warm the bottle. 45 minutes later, the bottle was warm and Henry was sleeping, he did however, enjoy it when he woke up. Since we already had a fire going Kevin cooked us up a yummy breakfast and the boys packed up all our stuff in the rain and we headed home. We were probably home by 9:00 a.m. which gave us plenty of time to dry out and clean up. Overall the trip was a success and we can't wait to do it all again. I forsee many years of camping ahead of us if Henry is anything like his father.

Here's Henry trying to flip backwards.

Henry and Caren in the morning, it wasn't cold but we kept him wrapped up to keep him dry, he didn't seem to mind.

Alright, this is just such a great picture, this was Sunday morning.

And, one shot of our camp site.
