Potty?!....I Don't Think So!!!!
So Henry loves the potty! He is always trying to go in with us and on this occasion he managed to try on his own. This is not something any of us are ready for! After he "went potty" he would walk around the house then run to the bathroom yelling "potty!" But nothing would happen when he was brought. At least he we know he is interested for when the time comes, and he is a mean flusher!
I don't think this is how most boys stand!

Parade and Carnival Fun
On Saturday we went to the Windsor Locks Parade and Carnival with Kate, Bryan, Cole and Reed (the big boys were with my parents). We had a great time and I think Henry enjoyed his first ever carnival experience. The pictures are out of order, sorry but you get the idea.
This is the big ball Henry won (from the game he is playing below) and soon after lost on the way home.

Extreme Home Makeover!!
As I'm sure many of you know by now, Extreme Home Makeover has come to Suffield! It is very exciting and despite Kevin's attempts to convince me that it would be just as exciting to drive by the house on Monday when it was completed and the crew was gone, I felt I had to see the action while it was here. After all it is not everyday that t.v. comes to town! I must say this was a very well run experience, we all piled on a bus (Kate and the kids came with us) and we got shipped over to the work site, stayed about five minutes, and got shipped back. Kevin was an integral part of this operation as we could not have maneuvered five young children through all the chaos without the extra hands. Everybody was very well behaved and ice cream was earned by all (especially Kevin!) The pictures are not great, as I could not see what I was taking and just kind of held my camera in the air and hoped for the best, you get the idea though.

Go Meat!
I figured I would head off all confusion and explain the caption above that Kevin so kindly added after I posted by pictures. This saying comes from the Hillshire Farms commercial in which they yell "go meat" at some point. I'm not really sure if arms in the air are involved, but that is what Henry does every time we yell "Go Meat!" It is very funny and he does it quite often no matter what his mood or what activity he is doing.
Vermont
A couple weekends ago we took a trip to Vermont with the Castor family. Kevin and Bryan rode their bikes and Kate and I had the pleasure of driving with all five boys!! (fun stuff!). Overall the trip went very well, Reed won the award for best traveler and Henry and Cole fought for the title "worst traveler." Henry did better than expected in a hotel room, although the rooms were adjoining so the kids had plenty of room to run. We were able to swim at the hotel and then the next day we took the kids to an aquarium and walked around Burlington. We had a great little getaway and can't wait to do it again, although next time I think Kate and I will take the bikes and the men can drive the kids!
Here are all the "big" boys in a treasure chest in the aquarium.

A Visit to the Ham!
Last weekend was my five year college reunion, but we were not able to attend as we had a wedding that same day. We did however, manage to make some time on Sunday afternoon to take a drive to Framingham to visit my girlfriends for an impromptu cookout at my friend Laura's house (actually her parent's house, she just moved to Chicago!). Henry had a blast with Laura's parents, they don't have any grandchildren yet, but they will certainly make great grandparents when they come! We were also able to meet Mary Kelley, my friend Anne-Marie's new baby, who is absolutely adorable. It was great to see everybody and can't wait for the next get together!
I think Henry was laughing at Mary Kelley getting her diaper changed.

Another Play Date
Kevin and I both had Friday off, so we decided it would be a good time for Henry to get together with his friends. Unfortunately Mari was sick so she couldn't make it, but Henry, Mason and Jake had a lot of fun together! It was beautiful outside so we decided to turn on the sprinkler, which Henry loved and Mason was a little skeptical of. Overall they had a great time and Henry slept for four hours after they left!
